My city event is already SOLD OUT…but there are some places still available for the Palmerston evening event, & also the Katherine lunchtime event. These events are FREE…but you MUST book your tickets online to secure a spot as they are catered & I do need to have a limit of attendees.
Anxiety is something I commonly see in clinic…& it can affect people from from varying levels.
Symptoms of anxiety can be very unsettling. Your heart rate increases, your mind races & you can no longer think straight. Though everyone experiences anxiety a bit differently, there are some more common symptoms to look out for.
hot flushes, sweating & skin clamminess;
rapid breathing; &/or
frequent gastrointestinal upsets.
feelings of excess worry, panic, fear or guilt;
obsessive thinking & behaviours; &/or
feeling generally tense and wound up.
Some Lifestyle tips for you to try:
Connect with friends – keeping in touch with people maintains your support network;
Exercise (ideally outdoors) – regular exercise has been shown to improve mood & reduce feelings of stress;
Choose healthy foods – consume protein at each meal & avoid refined & sugary foods. This can help balance your blood sugar levels, reducing mood imbalances & lessening anxiety;
Avoid caffeine – stimulants such as caffeine can exacerbate anxiety; &
Breathe! – if you start to feel panicky or anxious, focus on taking some slow, purposeful, deep breaths, helping you return to a state of calm. Meditation can also help to quieten your mind & instill calm. I hope to bring a meditation class to the clinic soon. 🙂

As you all probably know….I’ve been travelling to Katherine once a month for well over 18mths now. I started doing this as I had several locals had tried my certified organic herbal teas at Malak Marketplace & asked if I could come to town to support their health.
I truly love going down there each month to assist this beautiful community….but it needs to be sustainable for me to continue. Yes…I’ve helped many people, hence why they no longer need my help!! This is an amazing feeling & this is why I do what I do…to see positive results after people taking control of the lives & health again. I definitely plan to be finishing out the year in Katherine…..but will need to see how things go in the New Year.

I’ve had many clients recently through the clinic whom I have suggested to try regular meditation. It can be a time for the body to ‘check in’ & re-balance. For me it may not always be in a structured meditation form…..even soaking in the Epsom salt bath listening to music or going for a mindful walk can be chill out time.
Not only can we benefit from regular meditation & Epsom salt baths…..but I’m sure some of you may love to use them with your ‘little ones’ too….especially at bedtime.

Insomnia is something that can hit us randomly when we have busy minds…or for some it can be a nightly occurrence.
There are many causes for insomnia…from various hormonal imbalances, stress, & stimulants such as alcohol, tea coffee, chocolate, & drugs may interfere with our sleep patterns too. As may late night meals, our restless sleeping partner or….shift work.
Now I can’t claim these Wish Balls will ‘cure’ your insomnia….though I’m sure they will enhance a still & mindful mind…& help to maintain some balance.
