This is basically my “Bliss Ball” recipe….and pressed into a baking tray instead to make this quick and easy…and less sticky fingers?!
You can always mix up the nuts/seeds or even the dried fruit included as to what you have in the pantry…and press some extra into the top to finish it off if you like – get creative.
- Soak 1.5 Cups pitted Dates (or dried fruit) in enough water to cover for 30mins, then place into blender to chop up.
- Add 2 Cup Linseed/Sunflower/Almond meal (LSA) into blender and mix.
- Add in 1/2 Cup good quality Cacao powder (I chose Ecuadorian Organic cacao powder, available from the health food store) and mix.
- You may need to add a dash or two of water or try some lemon or orange juice to mix up the flavour, and to help it all come together.
- When all is combined, press into 20x20cm baking tray and sprinkle with desiccated coconut to set in the fridge for a couple of hours.
- Once firm cut into squares…these can be kept in the freezer…if they last that long! 😉
