I did these nutrient packed ‘pupcakes’ for Ivy’s 1st Birthday…
& Zoe’s 12th Birthday as it’s only a few days between.
My girls are wheat-free pups…so these are only a treat for them on special occasions. Of course, you can use GF Flour is you like.
Eggs are a great source of calcium, iron, manganese, zinc, D & B vitamins…plus they’re a first-class protein! Oats are amazing for nervous system, bones & connective tissue & gut/prebiotic support, whilst being high in iron, calcium, magnesium, phosphorus, manganese, vit B5 & 9. My girls get the eggshells cracked up into their dinner too….full of calcium, boron, manganese, zinc etc…great for older dogs who can’t eat bones anymore.
Ingredients:
1/2C natural peanut butter
1 mashed banana
2 eggs
3/4C self raising flour
1/4C rolled oats
1/2C water
Method:
- Prehat oven to 180oC
- Into large bowl combine peanut butter, banana & eggs. Beat together with electric beater.
- add flour, oats & water. Stir to combine.
- Spoon mixture across the muffin tray. I used large muffin sized tray, so this made x6, so normal cupcake tray should make x12 muffins.
- Bake for 8mins, or until a toothpick comes out clean from cupcake.
- let cool for 5mins till moving to cooling rack.
- To make yummy ‘icing’ – whip up cream cheese until soft. Pipe or spread over pupcakes…I topped mine with carob chocs which the girls love as treats.
I’m sure your pups will love them!!
