I’m sure you’ve heard the saying….’all health stems from your gut’. You may feel it’s a little far fetched – but it’s TRUE!

Our gut microbiome contains trillions of bacteria….bacteria that is good for us & helps balance out digestive system, support our moods & hormones…& also our immune system. There is sooo much research out there now regarding different strains of probiotics & how they can support us. But just taking a probiotic is only half the picture…we need to also lay the good foundations with prebiotics & then ‘feed them’ from good sources too. By adding a few spoons of kefir, Greek yoghurt, whey or even oats you are supporting your gut, immune system & balancing hormones too. You even add a dash of Aloe vera inner leaf juice too to further cleanse, soothe & heal your gut if you like.

This smoothie is low in sugars….so perfect for kids too!

Ingredients:

  • 1/2C ice cubes
  • 2C babay spinach
  • 2C frozen mixed berries
  • 2 Tblsp coconut oil
  • 1C water/kefir/Greek yoghurt
  • 2 Tblsp whey (optional)
  • 1/2tsp granulated stevia or 2-3 drops liquid stevia (optional)
  • Coconut flakes to serve

Method:

  • Simply throw all the ingredients into a high-powered blender & blend till smooth….top with coconut flakes!
