Spirulina is high in protein….once you get used to the taste…you’ll enjoy the health benefits. There are also those super chia seeds to give you that extra boost. Use what ever nuts you prefer….even mix it up!

Ingredients

  • 1C chopped nuts
  • 2 Tblsp coconut flour
  • 1 tsp honey (use Manuka or the new Jarrah variety for added health benefits)
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 40g coconut flakes
  • 3 Tblsp chia seeds
  • 1 Tblsp spirulina
  • 100ml unhulled tahini
  • 3 Tblsp coconut oil, melted
  • extra chia seeds & shredded coconut for rolling

Method

  • place the nuts, coconut flour, honey, cinnamon, coconut flakes, chia seeds, spirulina & tahini in a blender or food processor & process till smooth. Slowly add in the coconut oil whilst processing till combined.
  • Place extra chia seeds & shredded coconut in separate bowls.
  • Wet your hands & take a little bit of mixture, & roll into small balls.
  • Roll into either chia seeds or shredded coconut to coat.
  • Refrigerate for at least 30mins or until firm. Enjoy!!!
