This is an oldie (but a goodie) that I tried out the other day…..with my own twist on it. They are healthy, super quick & easy to make……& most importantly delicious!!! They are high in good fats, antioxidants, protein, magnesium, zinc, calcium, B vitamins, iron & folic acid. I have included the proportions I use with LSA, dates & cacao….but you can use anything you have in the cupboard, such as any ground nuts or dried fruit or goji berries. I also don’t have a food processor – so I used my blender & it works just fine.

Bliss Balls

  • Place 1/2 -3/4 Cup pitted Dates (or dried fruit) into blender to chop up.
  • Add 1 Cup Linseed/Sunflower/Almond meal (LSA) into blender & mix.
  • Add in 1/4 Cup good quality Cacao powder (I chose Ecuadorian Organic cacao powder, available from the health food store) & mix.
  • You may need to add a dash of water to help it form into a ball .
  • When all is combined, take out a teaspoon of mix & roll between your palms to make small balls. Continue till you’ve finished it all.
  • Then you can roll them in desiccated coconut, cacao or chia seeds.
  • Place them on a plate & into the fridge for a few hours to set.
  • Makes about 15-18 balls of bliss.
