As most of you are quite aware now….the government review of Private Health Rebates has occurred & they have decided to remove naturopathy, reiki, Bowen therapy, herbalism etc. This means that unfortunately you may no longer receive a rebate from your private health fund for these services. For BUPA members it seems this comes into affects as of January 2019…other funds are in April 2019.
As the President of CMA (Complementary Medicine Australia), I can assure you that the Board executives are doing everything in their power to enable rebates to still be upheld. In the mean time you can continue to still claim back the cost of your consults with your private health insurer.
