Aromatherapy is a wonderful tool to calm your nervous system, uplift your mood & relax your mind. Buy some quality essential oils & using in an oil diffuser, or blend with almond oil & use in a bath or as a body/massage oil.
Anxiety: Basil & Bergamot (uplifting), Geranium ( relaxing), Neroli & Sandalwood (soothing) – mix five drops of each x2 relaxing/soothing oils & one uplifting oil into 1Tbsp for a bath oil & into 2Tbsp for body oil.
Depression: Bergamot, Lemongrass, Rosemary, Cypress (uplifting), Chamomile, Jasmine, Neroli, Sandalwood, Lavender (soothing) – choose x3 soothing oils firstly, then modify blend with dropping one oil & replacing with an uplifting oil…eventually introduce x2-3 uplifting oils & add to almond oil to use as body or bath oil as above.
Insomnia: Lavender or Neroli (couple drops on pillow), Frankincense is warming & relaxing & encourages tranquility – use in oil diffuser.
